As your engagement shoot is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited to capture this special moment for you. I know it’s natural to feel a little nervous in front of the camera, but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Here are a few ways to help you feel confident, relaxed, and ready to shine, this has been very helpful for my previous clients:
1. Focus on Each Other, Not the Camera
The best photos happen when you’re simply enjoying the moment with your partner. Share a joke, whisper something sweet, or relive a favorite memory together. Your natural chemistry will make the photos feel authentic and full of love.
2. What to Do with Your Hands
Let’s face it,this is where things can get awkward. But it doesn’t have to be. Hold your partner’s hand, gently touch your outfit, or even rest your hand on their chest. Small, natural movements create elegant, effortless gestures that look amazing in photos.
3. Trust Me
It’s my job to guide you into poses that feel comfortable and flattering while finding the best light and angles. You don’t need to memorize poses or overthink it,just relax, trust the process, and let me handle the details.
4. Don’t underestimate the Glam
We say this because trust us it’s worth it to have your hair and makeup done professionally. This shoot is an investment and you want to love the photos, so getting your makeup & hair trial is a great option.
5. Grooming
For the groom, I’d recommend getting a light facial hair trim or shape-up before the shoot if needed. Also, please remember to bring a brush or comb along so we can make sure your hair/beard is neatly styled during the session. Unkempt hair can sometimes affect the final look of the photos, and we want you looking your absolute best!
